Silently into the night submitted

After some delay which I'm guessing was due to nervousness, I finally submitted 'Silently into the night' to 365tomorrows.
According to their site it's now a 4 to 6 weeks wait before I'll hear back from them, so plenty of time to get nervous and write some more.

Like I said, I also had another short story I wanted finished before today, and I sort of did... 'They came from afar' is sort of finished, I'm just not entirely happy with how it came out in the end. So I'm probably gone keep it on the redo list for a while until I am happy with it.

For this weeks short I'm thinking of a sort of mirror to 'Silently into the night'. With 'Silently into the night' the main character ended up broadcasting a message into the void of space, I've been wondering how we humans of earth might react if we got that message today. Seems like an interesting story hook don't you think?

I also have some catching up to do with writing excuses. If you haven't heard of it yet, it's a podcast worth listening too if your interested in telling story's, talking about everything related to creating story's, from your characters to your plot to finding publishers and what they do for you.
